Responsibilities

Independently prepares simple calculations

Independently prepares simple system/structural designs

Gathers data for specifications and prepares simple specifications under supervision

Gathers data and prepares simple bid tabulations

Gathers data for reports/studies

Communicates technical information and results in a clear and concise manner that is usable by other project team members and supervisors

Gains familiarity with and applies the accepted standards and processes to assigned project tasks

Completes assignments within allocated time frames

Develops personal capabilities to the fullest on assigned projects, in order to grow professionally

Required

BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aerospace, or Structural/Civil Engineering, from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program, with an emphasis in solid mechanics, structural analysis, theory of elasticity, metallurgy, and finite element analysis

1 or more years of engineering experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills
