This role focuses on delivering precise cost estimates, takeoffs, and proposals for complex data center electrical infrastructure projects, while collaborating closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.

Responsibilities
Prepare detailed electrical estimates and proposals for data center projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
Review drawings, specifications, and design documents to identify scope, risks, and value opportunities
Perform quantity takeoffs using digital tools and estimating software
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and procurement teams to develop bid strategies and ensure alignment on project scope and budget
Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor quotations
Support the pre-construction process with cost studies, budgets, and conceptual estimates
Participate in bid reviews, clarifications, and presentations as needed
Maintain and update estimating databases, pricing libraries, and historical cost data
Ensure compliance with company estimating standards, policies, and quality control procedures
Support project handoff to operations and provide ongoing estimating assistance during project execution when required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
5–7 years of experience in electrical estimating, specifically focused on data centers or other mission-critical facilities
Strong knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, grounding, lighting, UPS, and control systems
Experience with indoor electrical construction (low voltage, medium voltage, and building systems)
Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, Trimble, or similar)
Solid understanding of construction documents, design-build processes, and bid procedures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; capable of working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously
