The Boeing Company is seeking Senior Project Engineers - Service Related Problems (SRP) to join their team in Seal Beach, California. This role is responsible for managing complex in-service issues and leading cross-organizational teams to achieve timely resolutions for safety and critical economic issues affecting the Fleet.

Responsibilities

Provided technical leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers
Develops Statement of Work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements
Builds and actively manages integrated project schedules on multiple projects using project/program management best practices
Present to internal and external customers as needed to gain advocacy, authority to proceed, and/or share progress
Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules
Identifies and manages to business performance metrics and targets
Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program
Defines plans for risk/issue mitigation and opportunity capture
Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned
Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans
Works under general supervision

Required

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
9 or more years' related work experience
5+ year(s) experience leading/managing technical projects (Level 4)
5+ year(s) experience leading cross functional teams or projects (Level 4)
Must be willing to support occasional non-standard working hours as needed to engage with global customers or stakeholders

Preferred

Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
14 or more years' related work experience
7+ years' experience leading/managing technical projects (Level 5)
7+ years' experience leading cross functional teams or projects (Level 5)
Project Management Certification (ex. PMP)
Experience building and managing to integrated project plans, schedules and/or budgets
Experience working with commercial airplane systems or structures disciplines within design, maintenance or service engineering
