Responsibilities

Provide daily leadership and direction to Maintenance Technicians, ensuring efficient coverage of production lines
Respond quickly and effectively to equipment alarms, breakdowns, and production requests to minimize downtime
Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify root causes of equipment failures and communicate corrective actions to cross-functional partners
Perform major equipment repairs, installations, and rebuilds; weekend/holiday work may be required based on production needs
Ensure the maintenance team utilizes manufacturing systems (MES, spares inventory, issue tracking) accurately and efficiently
Collaborate with Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and Production leaders to resolve maintenance issues and enhance equipment reliability
Champion continuous improvement efforts to update PM documentation, schedules, and best practices
Enforce and model all safety protocols, including LOTO, 5-S, and Arc Flash standards—ensuring maintenance work is performed safely and with high quality
Train and mentor technicians to increase technical competency and reduce equipment downtime

Required

6+ years of experience maintaining industrial equipment, automation systems, or equivalent experience (Automotive Technician or related military technical experience accepted)
Strong experience with Siemens PLC troubleshooting highly preferred
Proficient troubleshooting skills across: Electrical/electronic systems, Mechanical/machining systems, Automation/PLC/robotics, Laser welding & dispense systems
Able to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift on hard surfaces in a production environment
Frequent use of hands for handling tools, assembling components, and operating machinery. Requires fine motor skills and grip strength
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing 10–50 lbs. regularly; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs. with assistance
Routine reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting waist, and squatting as part of process and tasks
Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movements for tasks such as fastening, positioning, and installing
Occasional use of steps to access different height level areas
Must wear required PPE (safety shoes, gloves, protective sleeves, eye and hearing protection) as per company safety standards

Preferred

Experience with Fanuc robotics is a plus
Familiarity with automation and testing systems such as Cincinnati Test Systems, Chroma, and Yioki testers is a strong plus
