Responsibilities
Monitors status of and helps maintain HPC resources
Works with HPCC users to analyze existing codes and develop and deploy new applications into existing or new environments
Assist in obtaining research funds and/or perform research into advanced computing
Documents policies and procedures for deploying advanced computing software and trains students in advanced computing techniques like deploying new software and porting applications into the new environments
Adheres to all appropriate Institutional policies (including IT OPs) and other relevant internal departmental policies
Distributes results of work through refereed publications, presentations at national conferences and working with other institutions
Qualification
Required
Master's degree or specialized academic training beyond the Bachelor's level in a specialized field equivalent to a Master's degree
One year research experience
Knowledge of modern research practices, the methods, resources, and standards thereof
Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment
Employees are required to comply with all applicable state and federal regulations related to the protection of critical infrastructure
Ongoing employment is dependent upon maintaining eligibility for access and successfully passing periodic security and compliance reviews
Adherence to robust safety practices and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
