AB1: Tier 2 Audiovisual Technician

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, professional audiovisual support to end users
Conduct regular testing and preventative maintenance of AV systems to ensure optimal performance
Train and provide technical guidance to Tier 1 Technicians and student staff
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues promptly
Assist with AV installations and verify full system functionality
Maintain accurate documentation in ticketing and inventory management systems
Ensure all instructional spaces are properly equipped and prepared for academic use
Support events through training, setup, and monitoring
Qualification
Required
Several years of experience in the audiovisual industry
Demonstrated experience providing technical and customer support for AV systems
Strong understanding of AV signal flow and system architecture
Proficiency with web conferencing and lecture capture platforms
Experience in the usage and configuration of Crestron and QSC systems
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work from ladders as necessary
Possession of a valid driver's license
Preferred
Experience in a higher education environment
Experience with audiovisual installations
Experience with Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems
Live event production experience, including video streaming, recording, and audio mixing
Industry certifications are preferred (e.g., Avixa CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D; Crestron; QSC)
Foundational knowledge of IT networking principles
