The internship at the Behavioral Health Center will prepare you to work with clients experiencing a wide variety of personal, emotional, and psychological problems, providing therapy services and participating in case conferences.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Provide therapy services - individual, group, couples or family
Attend case conferences and multi-disciplinary meetings. Clinicians will be expected to maintain caseload as assigned to perform assessment, treatment, planning and ongoing psychotherapy
Make referrals to other resources, agencies, clinics and hospitals as needed and assist with discharge planning from these types of settings
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in second year of Master's Degree- LICSW or LMHC (license eligible program from an accredited school.)
16-20 hours per week (Flexible to meet the requirements of the internship)
Must have the skills necessary to engage and work with others from diverse backgrounds
