Technology Evangelist/Public Sector

Responsibilities
Lead technical discussions across the federal sector, including federal agencies (Department of War, Intelligence Community, and Civilian agencies), federal systems integrators and resellers, as well as the federal ecosystem, aligning Supermicro’s high-performance computing and AI solutions with agency modernization priorities and mission outcomes
Engage federal CTOs and technical decision-makers in the identification of challenges, opportunities in new architectures, and co-develop next-generation computing environments
Architect and evangelize GPU-accelerated, AI/ML, and data analytics solutions, leveraging Supermicro’s product and services portfolio to address mission-critical workloads in defense, intelligence, and research domains
Serve as the technical authority in government pursuits (e.g., Golden Dome, SHIELD/NOBLE, Navy CANES/Foundry, VA OIT and FAA IT Modernization, CBP BEAGLE 2)—contributing to solution design, proposal development, and technical presentations that differentiate Supermicro in procurement activities
Provide technical oversight of complex engagements, ensuring compliance with security frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, and DoD STIGs, and alignment with agency architecture standards
Partner with internal Engineering, Security, Software, Compliance, Product Management, and Operations teams to design, validate, and deliver optimized solutions for GPU clusters, AI frameworks, and HPC environments
Lead technical road mapping discussions with government clients (e.g., DoW CDAO, DARPA, IARPA, NISTC, DoW, DoE, and other labs, DHS S&T), identifying future capabilities, potential gaps and influencing Supermicro’s R&D strategy to meet evolving public sector needs
Represent Supermicro at technical conferences, government innovation forums, and working groups (e.g. AFCEA, INSA, ACT-IAC, DoDIIS, GEOINT, SPACECOM), serving as a thought leader on AI infrastructure and digital transformation
Translate complex technical concepts—such as workload optimization, data flow architectures, and GPU performance scaling—into actionable strategies and competitive differentiators
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field
15+ years of experience in technical leadership, federal solution architecture, or technology strategy, preferably supporting defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies
Demonstrated success in winning and managing federal contracts—experience with GSA Schedules, IDIQs, BPAs, and other acquisition vehicles is a strong plus
Strong knowledge of IT industry standards, network architectures, server architectures, power infrastructure, cooling systems, and GPU-accelerated AI processing clusters
Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships with prime contractors, system integrators, and technology vendors to pursue joint opportunities
Strong public speaking acumen with expertise in developing de facto standards based proposals and presenting to senior government and industry executives
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels and across complex stakeholder networks
Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and adept at driving measurable growth through disciplined execution
Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and required security clearance
