They are seeking a Parts Counterperson to oversee the parts sales process, ensuring a positive buying experience for both retail and wholesale customers while fostering strong customer relationships.
Retail
Responsibilities
Assist retail and wholesale customers in selecting the required parts and accessories and solicit additional sales
Locate and order parts from vendors or other outside sources, and maintain contact with vendors and customers regarding order status
Provide customers with price quotes, invoices and other information
Pull and fill orders from stock, ensuring customers receive parts and accessories in a timely manner
Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on the repair order
Foster strong customer relationships to generate referrals and repeat business
Maintain the appearance of the parts counter and retail displays, and assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of parts inventory areas
Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or other materials that require immediate attention
Qualification
Required
Previous retail or wholesale auto parts sales experience is highly favorable
Automotive knowledge is helpful; dealership experience is a plus
Experience reading and interpreting parts catalogs and working with DMS is preferred
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, in person and over the phone
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Basic computer skills
Ability to work efficiently and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
