The role focuses on risk management and product control functions related to natural gas trading, including performance analysis and reporting, as well as liaising with various departments to ensure accurate daily reporting.

Responsibilities
Product level management and reporting of Risk, Exposures and P&L arising out of physical and derivative natural gas trading strategies
Product Level analysis of performance of the business through Positions, Profit and Loss and Volume analysis and reporting these to the Product Head and other Senior Management
Produce comprehensive lookback analysis of Trading strategies, combining key risk metrics with review of historical performance
Liaising with other key departments of Credit, Tax, Accounting and Scheduling to ensure smooth functioning of the day-to-day business translates into accurate reporting on a daily basis
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with IT to constantly improve proprietary Trading and Risk Management systems. Ensuring all basis risk and volumetric positions are correct and appropriate hedge actions taken, and that all executions are correctly allocated within trading system
Qualification
Required
At least 4 years of experience in physical & derivative natural gas markets inclusive of its underlying structures and instruments
Comprehensive understanding of trading models and trading strategies and exposures that arise out of them
Cross-product or Multiple Region experience is beneficial
Expertise in Trading and Risk Management System, preferred Allegro/Horizon
Advanced Excel skills
Strong work-ethic & organizational skills
Excellent communication
Multi-tasking ability
Preferred
Preferred advanced Python / SQL coding skills
