CHIEF FACILITY ENGINEER - SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED

NVE is seeking a Chief Facility Engineer to manage and operate the mechanical, life safety, electrical, and plumbing operations of DISA and associated facilities. The role requires a licensed Professional Engineer with significant experience in facilities management and energy conservation measures.

Responsibilities

The CFE shall be responsible for the overall management and operation of the mechanical, life safety, electrical and plumbing operations of DISA and associated facilities and grounds
The CFE shall be physically on-site a minimum of 8 hours per day within normal Government business hours, 0700 – 1700 hours
The CFE must also possess experience in:
Monitoring and implementing energy conservation measures
Building management systems, including CMMS, Building Automation Systems (BAS) and fire protection systems
Department of Defense, Maryland, and Anne Arundel regulations, codes, standards, etc
Operating and repairing any size of chillers, boilers, pumps, motors, air handlers, HVAC units, and UPS systems
Monitoring and implementing energy conservation measures

Qualification

Required

Licensed and registered Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland, Virginia, or District of Columbia
Minimum of 5 years of facilities service contract experience as a CFE in facilities similar to the size, scope and complexity of the DISA HQ and its associated grounds
Experience in monitoring and implementing energy conservation measures
Experience with building management systems, including CMMS, Building Automation Systems (BAS) and fire protection systems
Knowledge of Department of Defense, Maryland, and Anne Arundel regulations, codes, standards, etc
Experience operating and repairing any size of chillers, boilers, pumps, motors, air handlers, HVAC units, and UPS systems
3 years' experience in the above with a facility of equal or greater complexity
