Responsibilities
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and Ansible for dynamic, multi-environment deployments
Automate infrastructure provisioning, patching, release management, and establish self-healing infrastructure principles
Deploy and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI with container security and compliance checks
Manage Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, EKS, ECS) including lifecycle management, RBAC, hardening, and container orchestration
Support AWS cloud environments (EC2, VPC, EBS, ALB, RDS, S3, EKS) and implement capacity planning for on-premises and cloud models
Work with NoSQL datastores (MongoDB) and RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) for database management and optimization
Support service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices deployments with formal design processes and documentation
Configure networking components including subnets, VPCs, stateful firewalls, IPTables, CIDR notation, and implement security best practices
Implement comprehensive monitoring using Splunk, Nagios, ELK, Prometheus, or Grafana with alerting and SLO/SLI tracking
Provide off-hours support for critical applications and mission-critical production troubleshooting
Qualification
Required
5-8+ years DevOps/Infrastructure engineering experience in regulated environments with agile methodologies
Hands-on AWS expertise (EC2, VPC, EBS, ALB, RDS, S3, EKS) and Kubernetes cluster management (GKE/AKS/EKS/ECS)
Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
Proficiency in at least 2 programming languages (Python, Ruby, Java) with strong scripting skills
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and container image security
Demonstrated networking experience: subnets, firewalls, ports/protocols, Windows Firewall, IPTables, CIDR notation
Experience with Linux OS (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu); RedHat Satellite and Windows OS automation desired
Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (Splunk, Nagios, ELK) and scaling distributed data systems
Team player, excellent mentor, strong analytical/problem-solving skills, and effective cross-functional communication
B.S. in Computer Science or related technical major, or commensurate experience
