Clinical Operations Director

Responsibilities
Formulate and manage regional budgets in compliance with DaVita policies
Oversee expense reports, payroll, and charge submissions for accuracy and ethical standards
Provide financial training to Hospital Services Administrators and ensure adherence to company standards
Shape and execute strategic plans for growth in partnership with the Division Vice President
Expand service offerings with current hospital partners and support new partnership negotiations
Influence hospital and physician relationships to enhance DaVita’s brand reputation
Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards
Coordinate audits, reporting, and corrective actions with state and federal agencies
Oversee compliance with OSHA, Joint Commission, and Worker Compensation requirements
Supervise clinical and biomedical teams to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care
Direct hiring, training, evaluations, and performance management
Ensure ongoing education in nursing practices, patient safety, and regulatory standards
Partner with Medical Directors to ensure appropriate treatment modalities
Collaborate with hospital partners on policies for continuity of care
Maintain proactive communication with healthcare professionals regarding patient outcomes
Represent DaVita on matters of quality and patient safety
Support implementation of quality initiatives and audits
Partner with national clinical teams to develop and revise clinical policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
Current RN license in the state of practice required
Bachelor's Degree required
4–8 years of relevant experience in acute or hospital services management
One year of acute hemodialysis experience required
Experience in CQI methodology and working within a hospital environment
Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners and communicate complex information clearly
Scheduling flexibility and ability to travel as required
Fluent in written and verbal communication necessary to perform essential duties
Vision adequate for performing job duties; ability to distinguish colors when necessary
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform standing, walking, stretching, and keyboarding tasks

Master's Degree preferred
