TEMPEST Engineer (up to $20K Sign-On Bonus) - 2nd Shift
General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking an experienced TEMPEST Engineer to join their EMI/TEMPEST Group. The role involves performing TEMPEST testing, providing design support, and developing test plans and reports for various tactical communications systems and equipment used in military applications.

Responsibilities
Review and develop TEMPEST test plans
Perform TEMPEST testing in accordance with the applicable standards
Work closely with product teams to troubleshoot problems as needed and recommend cost effective solutions with minimal design impact
Review and develop TEMPEST test reports
Manage equipment calibrations and repairs
Troubleshoot and solve equipment and test setup issues
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field
Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is required at time of hire
Candidates must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required
Candidate must be a Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II or be a Level I with the ability to achieve a Level II certification
Familiarity with TEMPEST standards including NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92, CNSSAM TEMPEST 01-02, and related NSA technical memorandums
Perform testing in accordance with NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92, CNSSAM TEMPEST 01-02
Familiarity with TEMPEST test equipment such as, TEMPEST receivers, oscilloscopes, dynamic signal analyzers, signal generators, etc
Candidate must be able to work in a team environment and collaborate across programs and shifts
Candidate must be able to work independently, communicate clearly, and effectively with employees and customers
Candidate must be able to write TEMPEST Test plans and reports or demonstrate the ability to learn
Preferred
The candidate must be a current Certified TEMPEST Professional (CTP) Level I/II, or have the required background/experience to obtain certification in short-term
