Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee the SDS golf cart transportation service, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient mobility support for students, staff, and visitors with disabilities
Train and supervise student cart drivers while maintaining compliance with university driving and safety standards
Serve as an SDS representative for major campus events such as Commencement, Orientation, and Convocation, ensuring accessibility and resolving issues as they arise
Manage adaptive classroom furniture placement, including inventory tracking, delivery, and setup to meet student accessibility needs
Process parking fee waiver applications for students with disabilities and coordinate with Financial Aid and Parking Services
Track program data, maintain documentation, and support administrative projects that enhance accessibility across campus

Required

Fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices
Ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures
Thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing
Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic
Ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages
High school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience
Ability to handle fast paced and varied workload; ability to respond to change and last-minute requests efficiently and competently
Above communication skills to understand and accommodate the needs of people with disabilities
Experience working with people with disabilities
Experience working in Student Disability Services Office
Knowledge of ADA and reasonable accommodations
Experience working in a university setting
Valid California driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire
