Industrial Permit Writer - 4120919

Responsibilities

Draft permits, issue public notices, review input, and issue Missouri State Operating Permits for industrial stormwater and wastewater discharges, including landfills, quarries, and airports. The permit and fact sheet will often exceed 30 pages together
Coordinate with permittees, the Missouri Geological Survey team, and our Water Protection Program engineering team members, legal counsel and others to ensure compliance with all Clean Water law and regulations
Review all comments received on draft permits, considering all comments, updating the draft permit, if needed, and responding to all comments. Presenting information and responding to questions from the public at public meetings for permits that garner wide-spread public interest as needed
Provide compliance assistance and rule interpretation for permittees, potential permittees, neighbors, and other interested parties

Required

Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related scientific field
