The Junior Business Intelligence (BI) Analytics Engineer will support the development of BI tools by transforming raw data into insightful data products and assisting business stakeholders with data accuracy and availability.

Responsibilities
Assist in building and maintaining basic semantic and dimensional data models with oversight from Senior BI engineers
Develop simple data products based on predefined requirements and design guidance
Support data cleansing and transformation processes using SQL, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Power Query (M), and Python
Assist in documenting BI processes, models, and dashboards to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing
Help maintain version control and quality standards for reports and models
Work closely with senior BI team members to understand business requirements and translate them into initial report prototypes
Respond to stakeholder data questions and assist in troubleshooting report issues
Participate in training sessions, code reviews, and technical mentorship to build proficiency in BI tools and data modeling concepts
Stay up to date with BI trends and technologies as part of ongoing professional development
Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit
Special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field
1-2 years experience in BI, data analytics, or reporting role
Basic understanding of Power BI, SQL, and data visualization concepts
Ability to assist in building and maintaining basic semantic and dimensional data models with oversight from Senior BI engineers
Ability to develop simple data products based on predefined requirements and design guidance
Ability to support data cleansing and transformation processes using SQL, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Power Query (M), and Python
Ability to assist in documenting BI processes, models, and dashboards to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing

Familiarity with DAX or Power Query (M)
Exposure to cloud data platforms and data modeling concepts
Familiarity with Kimball-style dimensional data warehouse design principles (e.g., star schema)
