Project Engineer

The Project Engineer serves as the technical and project management lead, overseeing commercial equipment projects and ensuring technical accuracy, quality assurance, and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

Review construction drawings, schedules, and specifications to ensure equipment meets project requirements
Conduct detailed technical and QA/QC reviews using system checklists to verify design functionality and compatibility
Evaluate Value-Engineered (VE) and alternative design options for technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness
Manage multiple projects concurrently, serving as the primary point of contact from order receipt through final closeout
Prepare and compile comprehensive submittal packages, including CAD drawings, calculations, and technical data sheets, for engineering consultant review
Ensure project deadlines are met through effective prioritization, organization, and proactive coordination with cross-functional teams
Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, manufactures and customer teams to resolve technical issues and maintain design intent
Lead internal project review meetings, providing clear technical guidance and actionable feedback
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues
Review and interpret control panel schematics, pump curves, and related documentation to validate system performance
Produce and update CAD schematics or details to meet project specifications
Support standardization and efficiency initiatives by developing and maintaining libraries of Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and CAD templates

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field required; equivalent experience may be considered
Minimum 3 years in engineering project management, ideally within the building trades or manufacturing industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD; experienced in project management and tracking; knowledgeable in QA/QC processes; and familiar with manufacturer design engineering software
Excellent communication skills and highly organized, with the ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in fast-paced environments
Demonstrates initiative and effective problem-solving, working efficiently both independently and collaboratively to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
