RANGE OPERATIONS OFFICER

Responsibilities

Supervise, plans, coordinates, and directs daily activities of the Range Operations Section consisting of; Range Scheduling, Range Technician/Specialists, and Range Firing Desk
Develops internal management goals, objectives, policies, procedures, standards, and milestones for Range Operations
Integrates emerging technology, such as Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS), Environmental Management System (EMS), Installation Status Report (ISR), and Operational Range Inventory to coordinate, balance, and de-conflict training

Required

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position
This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform
Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment
Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation
May be required to successfully complete a trial period
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory
MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN/MAINTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
MUST HOLD A US ARMY COMBAT ARMS MOS IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: AR, IN, AV, EN, FA, OR ADA
Must attend and pass Level 2 Safety Course within 12 months of being hired
Military Grades: CW2-CW4 AND O-2 TO O-4
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum Requirements: Experience, education, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Experience using computer and automation systems
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 12 Months of experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization
