Supervisory Electronic Technician
USAJOBS is seeking a Supervisory Electronic Technician at the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, VA. Responsibilities
You will supervise the Test Equipment Branch staff
You will plan work to be accomplished
You will set and adjust short-term priorities
You will investigate difficulties arising from production application of the process specifications, procedures, and instructions
You will review test system maintenance history and advise the Ordnance Maintenance Manager of changes
You will provide support for building systems and equipment utilized throughout the Ordnance Maintenance Division
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate knowledge and experience in the policy, program, financial, manpower, administrative requirements and operation problems of the ordnance maintenance programs
Must have a demonstrated and a complete and thorough understanding of ordnance maintenance division operations, and have knowledge of the governing publications and computer systems used to manage the operations and facilities
Substantial technical and management experience and knowledge required in electronic processes, technology, production equipment and processes; industrial management; ordnance operations; explosives and occupational safety, human resources and environmental regulations; and production planning and scheduling systems
