0+ years expWHKS & Co is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer interested in working with a wide variety of challenging engineering projects in both the office and the field. The candidate will work directly with licensed Civil and Senior Civil Engineers to develop knowledge and skill in the design of municipal, transportation, and other infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
Municipal utility and roadway design, site design, quantity estimates, and other engineering support functions
Design and prepare roadway construction drawings, typical/cross sections, erosion and sediment control plans, maintenance of traffic plans, stormwater management, drainage design, signing and pavement marking plans, and right-of-way plans
Perform other design-related tasks, such as quantity and geometric calculations, grading plans, and roadway, utility and subdivision layout
Develop 3-D models using Bentley CONNECT or Civil 3D software
Provide oversight of CADD technicians to verify work is done properly and accurately
Perform construction observation which may include:
Conducting field-required concrete or asphalt testing
Preparing and documenting material reports, test results and material sources
Maintaining daily inspection logs and addressing discrepancies with appropriate parties
Preparing and reviewing pay reports
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering
EI or ability to take FE exam within 6 months
0-5 years of experience in Municipal or Transportation design
Valid driver's license
Excellent computer and communication skills
Experience with Autocad Civil 3D and/or Bentley CONNECT
