Business Development Officer-Consumer Real Estate
RNB State Bank is a locally managed independent community bank that focuses on personalized banking services. The Business Development Officer plays a crucial role in expanding business development efforts, particularly in sourcing consumer real estate loans and increasing deposit volume along Colorado's Front Range.

Responsibilities
Conducts business development efforts within the Front Range, sourcing both loans and deposits for the bank
Sources both in-house loans as well as secondary market mortgage loans
Develops and maintains relationships with real estate agents, builders, financial planners, divorce attorneys, business owners, and other professions which could serve as referral partners and/or clients
Establish loan production goals as well as detailed plans conveying how those goals will be achieved
Responsible for discussing loan options with borrowers to determine which loan type may be the best fit
Becomes accustomed to navigating the bank’s various technology platforms
Assures all Federal & State regulations are adhered to
Assists in the coordination among all parties in the mortgage lending process
Operates within a team environment and effectively communicate with customers, lenders, processors, closers and underwriters
Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
BDO candidates should have expertise in some area of consumer real estate lending, but expertise across all consumer real estate loan types is not expected
Minimum 3 years of experience in an MLO, Bank Officer, Business Development Officer, or similar role is strongly preferred
Ability to understand complicated situations and communicate them in a succinct and efficient manner
Must be fluent (reading/writing/speaking) in English
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, ratios, percentage, basis points, and proportions
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Able to adjust quickly to different work situations; remain composed under pressure and in stressful situations
Team player who must embrace change and see change as opportunity
Must be willing to express and support management's ideas to affected staff
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to adapt to new technological systems such as an LOS, PPE, and POS
Preferred
A bachelor's degree in a financial services-related field is preferred but not required
The ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is preferred but not required
Knowledge of Word and Excel is preferred but not required
Existing NMLS registration/licensing preferred
