As a part-time Senior API & Interoperability Engineer, you will design and implement cross-chain API platforms and protocol adapters, enhancing the interoperability stack for decentralized applications.

Responsibilities
Cross-Chain API Architecture
Architect GraphQL Federation and gRPC gateways unifying Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos, and Autheo’s Layer-1 into a single API schema
Implement high-performance adapters translating REST/SOAP/Web3 RPC calls into secure, unified APIs capable of 1M+ TPS
Build event streaming systems delivering blockchain logs and transactions to dApps under 100 ms latency
Secure Bridge Protocols
Develop atomic cross-chain swap engines with zk-proof settlement and threshold-signature validation across 1,000+ validators
Embed advanced cryptography for transaction confidentiality and fault-tolerant bridge custody
Zero-Knowledge Verification & Privacy
Implement zk-SNARK/STARK layers for proof-of-state without data exposure
Enable confidential cross-chain asset transfers and privacy pools supporting regulatory auditability
Multi-Protocol Event Orchestration
Design Kafka-based cross-chain event buses processing tens of billions of events daily
Apply saga orchestration patterns ensuring consistency across heterogeneous blockchains
Engineer global webhook networks providing < 50 ms notifications with exactly-once delivery
AI-Driven Translation & Routing
Build ML routing engines that dynamically select optimal bridge paths by latency, liquidity, and threat modeling
Develop protocol translation layers that auto-convert EVM calls to Solana programs or Cosmos modules with zero manual effort
Implement predictive bridge capacity planning and anomaly detection
Compliance & Governance Automation
Implement GDPR/CCPA/HIPAA-aware routing enforcing regional compliance
Design cross-chain governance where $THEO holders vote on protocol upgrades, fees, and security parameters
Generate zk-proof audit trails supporting SOC 2 Type II and HITRUST certification
Reliability & Observability
Deploy bridge microservices to Kubernetes with 99.999% uptime, circuit breakers, and cross-chain retry orchestration
Implement distributed tracing (Ethereum→Solana→Cosmos) with OpenTelemetry and integrate ML-based health monitoring for liquidity and protocol-divergence alerts
Developer Ecosystem & SDKs
Deliver unified SDKs (Go/Rust/JS/Python) enabling single-command cross-chain operations
Build self-service bridge consoles and schema explorers for instant API deployment and testing
Design sandbox environments for rapid developer onboarding
Collaboration & Leadership
Work across backend, blockchain, AI/ML, and security teams to maintain consistent API contracts
Lead interoperability architecture reviews and mentor integration engineers
Contribute to open-source projects establishing Autheo as a thought leader in cross-chain innovation
Research & Continuous Innovation
Stay current with IBC v2, CCIP v2, XCM advancements, and secure bridge research
Publish and present Autheo’s work at leading Web3 and API conferences
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Distributed Systems, or Software Engineering
5+ years in protocol or API engineering, including cross-chain bridges or large-scale (1M+ TPS) integrations
Production experience with Go, Rust, and GraphQL Federation or gRPC
Proven success implementing IBC, XCM, CCIP, or equivalent bridge protocols
Strong grasp of zk-proofs, threshold signatures, and atomic swap mechanisms
Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, event streaming (Kafka), and distributed tracing
Deep understanding of security, fault tolerance, and cryptographic primitives in blockchain environments
Preferred
Background in DeFi, AI data orchestration, or multi-chain compute infrastructure
Experience developing multi-language SDKs or open-source bridge tooling
Contributions to IBC/CCIP standards or cross-chain interoperability research
Published papers or patents in distributed systems or cryptography
