Responsibilities
Managing daily transit operations – physically monitoring morning and afternoon pull outs from the yard, observing and reporting the condition of bus stops, bus shelters and Park and Ride lots, cleanliness of buses, and ensuring facility compliance with Federal Transit Administration facility standards
Monitoring appearance of buses, coordinating upkeep and maintenance of the Park and Ride lots
Monitoring the functionality of Real-Time Information Systems and fare boxes
Monitoring on-time performance of all commuter bus, local fixed routes, and paratransit services
Contract compliance and performance oversight
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning or a related field
three (3) years of related work experience in planning or public transportation
equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver's license and good driving record required
Ability to work in an outdoor environment and/or operate a vehicle in various types of weather
Flexibility to be periodically present during early morning hours, evenings, and weekend days to monitor transit operations
