Responsibilities
Performs venous, arterial and capillary blood collection, processing and delivery of specimens to departments within Trinity Laboratory. Consistently demonstrates attention to detail in following protocol for patient, sample and identification and labeling
Educates others and maintains knowledge of departmental functions, policies and procedures including AIDET and Focus value
Assists with the training new employees, being helpful supportive in the teaching of new associates
Complies with procedures and services, including QA guidelines, in consultation with the assigned laboratory supervisor
Performs technical procedures within specified turnaround time for assigned area
Is responsible for executing and monitoring technical practices of the department in order to meet necessary standards, recommendations and requirements of voluntary and government agencies (ie. CAP, JCAHO)
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy course
Communication skills including reading, writing & speaking fluent English

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
