Responsibilities
Executing experimental studies in support of ongoing projects investigating the neural pathways of the Gut-Brain Axis that regulate motility, pain, and inflammation
Assisting in the design and planning of experiments
Collecting and analyzing data
Communicating results to lab team members
Performing specific techniques including in vivo and ex vivo calcium imaging and optogenetic approaches in transgenic mouse models, motility assays, dissections, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry
General lab upkeep
Qualification
Required
Interest in biomedical research
Post-baccalaureate status
Ability to execute experimental studies
Experience in collecting and analyzing data
Ability to communicate results to lab team members
Familiarity with in vivo and ex vivo calcium imaging
Experience with optogenetic approaches in transgenic mouse models
Knowledge of motility assays
Experience with dissections
Familiarity with immunofluorescence
Experience with flow cytometry
Ability to assist in the design and planning of experiments
Willingness to perform general lab upkeep
