Manufacturing Technology Engineer (electronic systems)
Penn State University is seeking a senior-level Manufacturing Technology Engineer to join the Electro-Optics & Electronics Division of the Applied Research Laboratory. The role involves developing manufacturing improvements, executing R&D projects, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support national defense initiatives.

Responsibilities
Develop manufacturing improvements to produce DoD systems
Execute research and development projects in manufacturing technology engineering
Plan and manage concurrent project tasks to achieve research contract goals
Collaborate with other engineers, scientists, technical and program staff including the Penn State ARL research team, Penn State ARL faculty at Penn State, DoD laboratories, DoD program offices and related industry teams to accomplish project and organizational goals
Prepare and present your work as briefings and reports to a variety of audiences
Qualification
Required
No less than 10 years of relevant experience electronics manufacturing technologies for components and systems
Ability to clearly communicate, document, and present results
Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes technical and program management roles
Eligibility for Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree - Engineering or Science 14+ years of relevant experience
Preferred
Experience with development, production and test of radar, electronic warfare and similar systems at the system / architecture level including identification and implementation of novel solutions in DoD electronics manufacturing
Experience with project management practice in a research project leadership role that involves execution and development of multiple related project efforts
An advanced technical degree relevant to electronic systems
Experience with lean manufacturing concepts
An active Secret security clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI
