Responsibilities

Lead a team of accomplished software engineers focusing on the core features of asset compiler/packaging tools for Apex Legends
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of tools for asset compilation and packaging in the game engine pipeline
Develop architecture and design solutions for problems within the tools
Collaborate with build, rendering, and content teams to streamline end-to-end asset processing
Analyze and optimize asset packaging workflows for efficiency and reliability
Build bridges with other partners to work towards the common tools/game engine vision
Track bugs, enhancement requests, and technical debt for tools used in the pipeline
Plan and prioritize tool development tasks in alignment with project schedules and content team needs
Design and implement automated testing and continuous integration for tool reliability

Required

Excellent C++ skills
2+ years of experience leading engineering teams in the games industry
8+ years of experience having worked on and shipped large game projects
You enjoy being a subject matter expert and the 'go-to' person for internal customers
Familiarity with custom asset packaging and compiling for a game engine
Well versed in software engineering principles
Familiarity with an existing game engine and understanding of editor concepts
