Repair Development Engineer- Able Aerospace Services, Inc.

The Repair Development Engineer will design extended repairs, write work instructions, and coordinate with agencies for repair approval, while adhering to quality standards in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities
Expand Able Aerospace Services capability and business by developing expanded repairs
Design repair manufacturing requirements for operations to execute based on industry standard practices
Develop engineering justifications/analysis to support the airworthiness of the components and gain approval through various agencies such as the FAA, EASA, JCAB, etc
Manage repair development projects through planning, coordination, reporting, and ownership of goals and deadlines
Perform peer review of repair documents and justifications
Collaborate with team to facilitate improvement of skills and experience
Help resolve technical issues that may be found within productions or engineering
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required
Minimum 2 years' engineering or related technical experience required
Technical writing expertise
Requires self-starter skills and the ability to investigate the problem statement for each condition, part, and proposed solution
Ability to thrive in a team environment that requires peer reviews and cross-functional sharing of info
Technical and operational understanding of various maintenance operation processing techniques, and mechanical systems
Knowledgeable in computer applications relating to the job including, Microsoft Office Suite, CAD/CAM software, and other aerospace applications
Project management skills including the ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver timely results
Able to run analytical justifications through hand calculations. FEA software experience is a plus
Understanding of production processes, OEM manual data, and proper use of GD&T
Able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Good communication skills including written and verbal
