SUPERVISORY ACQUISTION PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to lead and direct high priority acquisition activities. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Acquisition Program/Project Manager, directing or supporting the activities of a DoD funded acquisition effort.

Responsibilities
Leads, manages, directs or is responsible for acquisition activities either directly, or in support of DoD funded acquisition efforts
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time
Delivers presentations on acquisition program status, accomplishments, problems/analysis/solutions, requirements for support and promotion of program objectives to senior military officers and civilians in other program offices, or the command and with using supporting commands
Represents the program office at higher levels within the organization and contractor organizations
Works in conjunction with the contracting officer to approve terms and conditions set forth in contract negotiations, contracting plans, budgets, and changes to the scope of the work to be done by the contractor

This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
Candidates must possess an active Top Secret (TS) clearance -OR- have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS clearance
Employee must maintain current certifications
This position may require drug testing; The employee is subject to random drug testing for drug use
Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
Shift work and emergency overtime may be required

The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty. The incumbent must be able to travel; travel is estimated at 25%

Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training
Employee is expected to meet Continuing Acquisition Education requirements
This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP)
Position is NOT eligible for remote work or recurring telework
Preferred
Advanced Certification in Program Management or the ability to earn Advanced Certification within grace period (48 months from appointment to initial position requiring Advanced Certification in Program Management)
Demonstrated expert-level knowledge of DoW acquisition policies, regulations, and processes (e.g., DoD 5000 series)
Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate multi-disciplined teams of military, civilian, and contractor personnel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to senior leadership and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and implement effective corrective actions
Experience working with contracting officers and managing contracts in a DoW environment
Knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition management process and initiatives
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structure, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process
Skill to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff in critical aspects of development and production, support of systems, subsystems, or equipment and to coordinate various aspects of systems acquisition such as engineering, contracting, financial management, configuration, and manufacturing
Ability to supervise, mentor, motivate, appraise, and work with subordinate supervisors and non-supervisory employees
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy
