Manager, New Business Development
GLG is the world’s insight network, and they are seeking an experienced New Business Sales professional to build relationships with Hedge Funds & Asset Management firms. The role involves utilizing best in class sales processes and collaborating with internal teams to onboard new clients and drive sales.

Responsibilities
Directly engage and build relationships with public equity and credit investment professionals (Analysts, Directors of Research, Portfolio Managers) and operations personnel (COOs, CFOs) via phone, in-person meetings and email
Articulate GLG’s market leadership, premium brand, and value proposition in a differentiated manner
Exhibit knowledge and command of current trends in equities and credit
Develop account plans for top named prospects and strategies for a defined territory
Work creatively and collaboratively with internal colleagues—client solutions, product, marketing, legal, finance—to accelerate sales cycle and close new business
Spearhead world-class user and team on-boarding sessions with new clients and users
Qualification
Required
Experience working with investors and financial services firms especially with Equity and Credit professionals
5 - 8+ years of demonstrated success in one or more of the fields below: Financial services and/or subscription sales with consistent experience generating $1M+ in new business revenue
Diligence, consulting or independent research to investment managers or end user clients in the financial services space
Investment professional or consultant working in a performance-driven environment
Demonstrated a track record of overachieving in a performance-based environment, preferably in the financial services research & data industry or consulting industry
Strong interest in and understanding of the research process for Hedge Funds
Intense hunger to win
