Manufacturing Engineering Intern - Toledo, OH (Summer 2026)

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will ensure production documentation is accurate, update value stream maps, create processes for machine calibration, and work to reduce scrap costs and increase uptime.

Responsibilities

Ensure production documentation is accurate and up to date
Update Value Stream maps to determine bottle necks
Create process for machine calibration
Reduce scrap costs on new COS lines
Increase uptime and reduce breakdowns
Converting process specification documents to new format
Updating Operator work instructions and description sheets for new equipment
Creating process for conducting COS calibration with list of fixtures needed and documentation for use by plant engineers
Identifying top scrap defects and work with Operations and Quality to identify root causes. Working with both Toledo and St Joseph plants to read across solutions
Using Maintenance work order system pinpoint high frequency failures

Required

Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering
