Responsibilities

Receive, initiate, and track repair orders
Maintain spare parts inventory
Provide the lead communications with fleet operators regarding product repairs orders
Conduct receiving inspection, coordinate repair, and acceptance, and complete appropriate documentation
Develop, implement, lead, and maintain a quality management system (QMS) via ISO 9001 certification principles
Function as primary liaison for various customers in order to resolve quality issues, ensure appropriate flow down of quality requirements, inspection requirements, acceptance criteria, communication, and ensure customer satisfaction
Provide quality coaching to staff, peers, associates, and management team, enhancing skills in efficient execution of procedures to drive improved customer satisfaction
Coordinate internal quality audits and report status of QMS compliance to management
Participate in cross-functional teams to implement Operational Excellence Initiatives (6 Sigma, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, etc
Provide status of internal and external corrective actions, ensure responses are adequate to prevent recurrence of nonconformance and report progress to management

Required

MUST BE A US CITIZEN AND HAVE A DOD SECURITY CLEARANCE
MS degree or a BS degree with a minimum of 10 years' subject matter expertise in the technical labor category and a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in the areas of quality inspections and acceptance
Experience in the use of computer-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software systems
Experience in conducting FAI and quality inspections on prototype and production electro-mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and components IAW contractual timelines
Experience in developing and implementing a department level quality management system with processes, roles and responsibilities and checklists
Develop and implement inspection processes and standards
Maintain clear and accurate records of inspections, rework, and acceptance of items received for acceptance
Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills; manufacturing and integration process controls; solid organizations skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization
Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
Strong computer skills are necessary, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project
This is a hands-on position that takes someone who can roll up their sleeves and solve critical issues in a timely manner while balancing long-term improvement initiatives

Preferred

ISO Internal Auditing is a plus
Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience are a plus
