StevenDouglas is a leading national law firm focused exclusively on labor and employment law, seeking a mid-level Employment Litigation Associate for their New York City office. The role involves litigating employment-related claims and advising clients on compliance and workplace policies while benefiting from strong mentorship and business development support.
Responsibilities
Litigating cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment-related claims
Representing employers in court, before administrative agencies, and in mediations and arbitrations
Advising clients on compliance, workplace policies, and risk management
Collaborating with partners and Litigation Managers to align assignments with professional goals
Contributing to business development and client relationship initiatives with support from the firm’s dedicated BD Managers
Qualification
Required
JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
3-7 years of experience preferred (employment, commercial litigation, or insurance defense backgrounds considered)
Admission to the New York Bar (or ability to obtain)
Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills
Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters
Team-oriented mindset and commitment to client service
