Responsibilities
Package, deploy, and maintain Epic Hyperspace (the main Epic client) using tools like SCCM, Ivanti, or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
Manage ActiveX controls, client prerequisites, ODBC drivers, and user profile settings to ensure consistent Hyperspace performance
Engineer solutions to optimize how Hyperspace and other Epic apps are delivered to end users — including Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Microsoft RDS
Configure seamless access across a range of endpoints (e.g., desktops, thin clients, mobile devices) for different clinical and operational workflows
Identify and resolve client-side performance issues (e.g., long login times, screen freezes, latency)
Work closely with application teams, desktop support, and networking to diagnose and fix environment-specific issues
Create and maintain standardized desktop or VDI images optimized for Epic
Ensure all devices used to access Epic meet performance benchmarks and compliance requirements
Participate in Epic version upgrades, client refresh cycles, and go-live events by validating presentation layer performance and compatibility
Coordinate with Epic TS/CSC (Technical Services/Client Systems) and internal teams for Hyperspace version management, deployment scripts, and environment testing
Qualification
Required
Experience with packaging, deploying, and maintaining Epic Hyperspace using tools like SCCM, Ivanti, or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
Knowledge of managing ActiveX controls, client prerequisites, ODBC drivers, and user profile settings
Ability to engineer solutions to optimize the delivery of Epic apps including Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Microsoft RDS
Experience configuring seamless access across various endpoints for clinical and operational workflows
Skills in identifying and resolving client-side performance issues
Experience working with application teams, desktop support, and networking to diagnose and fix environment-specific issues
Ability to create and maintain standardized desktop or VDI images optimized for Epic
Knowledge of performance benchmarks and compliance requirements for devices accessing Epic
Experience participating in Epic version upgrades, client refresh cycles, and go-live events
Ability to coordinate with Epic TS/CSC and internal teams for Hyperspace version management, deployment scripts, and environment testing
