Responsibilities
Complete annual monitoring of piping plover populations, nest success, and fledgling success on the John E. Williams Preserve
Participate in the collection of research data on plover habitat enhancement projects
Complete a final report summarizing plover monitoring and management activities
May perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in natural resources; environmental studies or equivalent combination of education and 6 months' experience
Experience managing and prioritizing tasks from multiple sources
Must have a valid driver's license
Experience in data collection and analysis to produce written reports
Preferred
2+ years in natural resource management (area of study)
Multi-language skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated
Knowledge and field experience in natural resource management and ornithology
Ability to operate all-terrain vehicles, motorboats, 4x4 trucks, trailering, and complete outdoor work using hand tools
Ability to perform with a minimum of supervision and work cooperatively with a wide range of people
Experience with bird monitoring and identification
