F-16 Mission Systems Subject Matter Expert
Canvas provides engineering services and technical solutions for customers in federal and commercial markets. The F-16 Mission Systems Subject Matter Expert will lead the integration of autonomy enabling F-16 modifications, providing expert support and guidance on mission systems architecture and testing processes.

Responsibilities
Leads integration of autonomy enabling F-16 modification with the F-16 mission systems suite
Leads the Mission Systems integration team to develop and integrate modification and plan testing
Provides advice and assistance to the 40 FLTS in current and anticipated tests that encompass an extensive range of analyses, system, subsystem, component, system-of-systems, advanced/emerging technologies, multi-domain capabilities, manned-unmanned teaming and integration testing
Provides expert level support to Program Engineer, Test Engineers, Project Aircrew and other program participants
Advises program on F-16 mission systems architecture, data bus protocols, communication protocols, technology integration, and test techniques
Acts as architect for F-16 modifications that interface the aircraft mission systems suite
Possesses expert level knowledge of the F-16 avionics architecture, avionics communication protocols, and software suite capabilities
Leads integration of F-16 modifications into the Software Integration Laboratory (SIL)
Works with SIL engineers to troubleshoot installation problems, develops SIL specific software to enable modification hardware and software to interface the SIL systems
Leads test events in the SIL to collect critical data to support aircraft modification and flight test
Leads development of the Mission Systems test plan and mission materials
Has knowledge and experience planning Air Force Test Center (AFTC) test planning, safety planning, and test execution process
May have experience with Eglin Air Force Base test planning, safety planning, and execution processes
Develops and refines Human Machine Interface (HMI) concepts for delivery to team members developing F-16 modifications
HMI may be located in aircraft, on carry on/carry off computers/tablets, or in ground based systems such as simulators and ground control stations
Supports program meetings, design reviews, and configuration control boards
May be called upon to present designs, and findings at project meetings and boards
Supports flight test by monitoring data displays and safety of flight parameters
May act as Test Conductor, Test Director, Discipline Engineer, or other mission control room positions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's of Science in engineering, physics, or mathematics
Ten or more years of F-16 mission system engineering experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and able to obtain Top Secret clearance if needed
