Manufacturing Engineering Intern - Toledo, OH (Summer 2026)
Clarios is a leading manufacturer of batteries for automotive and marine applications. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support production by ensuring documentation accuracy, updating processes, and collaborating with teams to reduce scrap costs and improve efficiency.
Responsibilities
Ensure production documentation is accurate and up to date
Update Value Stream maps to determine bottle necks
Create process for machine calibration
Reduce scrap costs on new COS lines
Increase uptime and reduce breakdowns
Converting process specification documents to new format
Updating Operator work instructions and description sheets for new equipment
Creating process for conducting COS calibration with list of fixtures needed and documentation for use by plant engineers
Identifying top scrap defects and work with Operations and Quality to identify root causes. Working with both Toledo and St Joseph plants to read across solutions
Using Maintenance work order system pinpoint high frequency failures
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering
Duration: Summer 2026. Up to 40 hours per week. Part-time during the school year may be available
Working Arrangements: On-site based at our manufacturing facility in Toledo, OH
