SMU Dedman School of Law is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional for the role of Facilities Financial Manager. This position provides comprehensive financial and accounting support for the University’s capital construction and facilities-related projects, ensuring accurate financial tracking, reporting, and forecasting.

Monitor and process construction- and facilities-related pay applications and invoices in compliance with contractual terms and University policies

Prepare monthly and quarterly reports related to capital funding and University facilities reserves

Assist in the auditing and close-out of construction projects

Preparation of monthly cash flow projections

Assist with special projects and associated reports

Bachelor's is required

Master's is required

A minimum of 3 years of experience is required

Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies

Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills

Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions

Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills

Candidate must have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills as well experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Preferred

Experience with construction and/or facilities with emphasis on project accounting and financial reporting is preferred

Experience working with Capital Improvement Program Management Software (i.e. e-Builder), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or Integrated Workplace Management (IWMS, i.e. Planon), PeopleSoft Financials, construction pay application processes, capital project funding, and close-out auditing procedures is preferred
