The role involves ensuring systems run smoothly, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and collaborating with Technical and Operations teams to optimize IT operations.

Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and optimize IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and databases
Oversee the full system lifecycle, including provisioning, installation, configuration, asset management, monitoring, maintenance, and decommissioning of various systems
Work with vendors to procure and deploy new hardware
Respond to issues and requests from the Operations and Technical teams

Required

5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems engineering, or a related role
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and tools (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
Exceptional capability debugging and solving complex issues related to both hardware, low level software, and networking
Knowledge of network architecture
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to respond to occasional off-hour emergencies

Preferred

You excel at diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues across hardware, software, and network layers
You enjoy learning and working with new technologies and platforms
You have experience with command-line tools for troubleshooting and system management (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
You feel at home scripting and automating tasks
You understand and can configure networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
You're skilled in creating backup solutions and disaster recovery plans, and you regularly test recovery processes to ensure reliability
