Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes from Epic’s Chronicles database to Clarity (SQL-based) and Caboodle (Epic’s enterprise data warehouse). Use tools like Epic’s Clarity ETL, Caboose, or custom SQL/SSIS packages to move data reliably and efficiently
Maintain and optimize the Clarity and Caboodle databases to ensure accurate, timely, and performant reporting
Implement data refresh strategies, monitor data loads, and troubleshoot failures in data pipelines
Support reporting tools and teams by ensuring data models are current, accurate, and optimized
Collaborate with report writers, data analysts, and operational leaders to ensure that data meets their needs (e.g., SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Tableau)
Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and ETL jobs to improve data access speed and reduce system resource consumption
Work proactively to prevent performance bottlenecks in large data sets and complex reporting environments
Work closely with Epic application teams, database administrators, and security teams to ensure compliance with data governance and HIPAA regulations
Manage user access, roles, and security settings in Cogito-related environments (Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer)

Required
