LEGAL Coordinator-PRN

The Legal Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and reporting the legal status and admission paperwork for patients at Anchor Hospital, as well as facilitating the filing of paperwork required for involuntary commitment.

Responsibilities

Monitors and reports the legal status and admission paperwork completed for all patients admitted to Anchor Hospital
Facilitates the filing of all paperwork required for involuntary commitment, including physician portions for documentation

Qualification

Behavioral health experienceEffective communication skillsCrisis interventionInterpersonal skillsDocumentation skills

Required

High school diploma; bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field preferred
Three years of experience working in behavioral health or a hospital setting
Good interpersonal skills to work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff, as well as communicate with family members and outside agencies in a professional manner
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to assist in crisis intervention and/or physical intervention with patients
May have some exposure to communicable/infectious diseases
May have some risk of injury from patients
Ability to walk, sit and stand for long periods of time

Preferred

bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field
