Senior IT Support Specialist - Army (TS/SCI)

They are seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist to provide expert-level technical support for U.S. Army and Defense Intelligence systems, focusing on maintaining and optimizing complex IT infrastructures.

Responsibilities
Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems such as LAN, WAN, cloud networks, servers, and other data communications infrastructure
Perform regular network maintenance to ensure optimal uptime, performance, and reliability with minimal interruption to operations
Manage the configuration and daily operation of Mission Information (MI) systems, servers, and related components
Monitor and enhance system performance, security, and resource utilization to meet operational needs
Install or upgrade computer components and software, ensuring compatibility and compliance with DoD IT standards
Implement and enforce network and information security policies to safeguard classified and sensitive data
Provide routine automation support and troubleshooting for end users and mission applications
Offer technical training, supervision, and support to personnel as required
Collaborate with other IT and cybersecurity teams to integrate and sustain mission-critical systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
At least 8+ years of experience supporting and maintaining enterprise-level IT systems and networks in a DoD or Army environment
Strong understanding of system administration, virtualization, and network protocols
Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity standards, risk management frameworks, and security compliance practices
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Preferred
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) highly desirable
