Assistant Professor of Finance
California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-line faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Finance. Maintain an active research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications
Contribute to Cal Poly’s 'Learn by Doing' philosophy through applied, experiential instruction and student engagement
Teach core undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and related areas
Qualification
Required
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution, with the degree completed by the start date
They should demonstrate the potential for high-quality research and publication in peer-reviewed journals
Provide evidence of effective teaching and a commitment to inclusive pedagogy
Possess the ability to teach core undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and related areas
Preferred
Professional or industry experience relevant to finance or real estate finance
Demonstrated ability to develop and teach experiential or project-based courses
