Survey Technician – Rochester, Minnesota
WHKS & Co is seeking a detail-oriented Survey Technician to collaborate with surveying and engineering professionals on various projects throughout Minnesota. The role involves performing boundary and topographic surveys, project staking, and utilizing GPS and other survey equipment.

Responsibilities
Perform boundary and topographic surveys, platting, and construction staking for various private and public projects
Perform project staking and layout
Complete survey computations
Verify field dimensions and elevations to project plans
Operate survey equipment utilizing GPS, Total Station, and leveling instruments
Perform other survey-related duties primarily in the field
Qualification
Required
0 – 5+ years of field survey and GPS experience
A valid driver's license
Demonstrated math skills
Excellent computer and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Must be able to manage workload independently
Ability to: Perform physical tasks that may involve moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to: Operate equipment and tools safely and effectively
Ability to: Remain in a stationary position and/or move about the work site, including standing, walking, bending, and climbing, for extended periods
Work in varying outdoor weather conditions or environments
Preferred
Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field
Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Trimble equipment and software
