Responsibilities

Perform and assist in buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements for private equity, mezzanine funds, and strategic buyers
Ability to analyze large volumes of data to prepare an Excel data book, with an emphasis on the quality of earnings, debt and debt-like, and net working capital analysis
Aptitude to understand and evaluate financial and operational trends of target companies, in addition to challenging target assumptions
Assist and lead sections of due diligence meetings with target management
Create and design tailored reports specific to key issues, such as normalized earnings, financial reporting, networking capital trends, and indebtedness considerations
Ability to communicate due diligence findings confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner both verbally and in written reports
Ability to collaborate and work within teams to ensure timely and efficient product delivery
Develop and strengthen productive working relationships with client personnel
Collaborate with other Elliott Davis team members

Required

A minimum of three years of experience with audit or transaction services is required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
Current licensed CPA preferred
Excellent analytical and Microsoft Excel skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Aptitude towards business development
Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting issues
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously (multi-task)
Superior client service focus
Ability to travel to client locations as required

Preferred

Current licensed CPA preferred
Big 4, National or large regional firm experience preferred
