Machinery Diagnostics Field Engineer

Responsibilities
Diagnosing machinery problems based upon vibration data, operational data, and customer communications
Reacting to customer required travel in a timely manner, while bringing all required diagnostic equipment
Completing documentation of findings/recommendations
Engaging in professional communications with customers and other team members
Determining and directing placement of Balance weights
Performing Asset Management / Reliability Service Studies
Preparing timely Work Order requests, quick quotes, and invoicing packages
Assessing job site Safety
Understanding T&C commitments
Installing transducers and configuring monitoring systems
Completing alignment - Reverse Dial, Laser, Optical Methodologies
Qualification
Required
Have a bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering a plus)
Have Minimum 3 years of industry (energy and/or oil & gas) experience ideally with Vibration Analysis
Be available for extensive travel, up to 70%, and significant over-time (paid)
Possess a valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport)
Be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential)
Be eligible to travel overseas and/or work on offshore platforms on occasion
Preferred
Theoretical and practical knowledge of Reliability Services
ISO certification for vibration analysis
Demonstrated authority and assurance in dealing with people
Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel
Experience working under stressful working conditions
Project Management Skills
Solid computer skills using MS Office software
Mechanical trouble shooting skills. 'Hands-on approach'
Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding mechanical prints
Knowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systems
Knowledge of machinery protection and management systems
Knowledge of or experience with AT LEAST one or more of the following: mechanical vibration, rotating machinery vibration and/or diagnostics, rotodynamic analysis, Pd.M. data acquisition/evaluation, machinery balancing and alignment
Knowledge of Bently Nevada products and services
Basic familiarity with computer network systems
