Responsibilities
Define Tier Value Propositions: Build and clearly articulate the differentiating value propositions for the various subscription tiers (Base, Pro, Premium) to maximize subscription growth
Drive Acquisition via Partnerships: Establish a partnership strategy and execute high-priority deals with external partners (e.g., telcos, social media platforms, carriers) to unlock major distribution potentials for the paid tiers
Optimize Resource ROI: Enable the maximization of the Hardware:DAU impact by implementing a flexible limit structure and moving expensive, low-penetration features behind paywalls to free up resources for more viral features
Lead Contextual Upsells: Drive incremental subscriptions by defining "power users" and running experiments on new contextual upsells to paywalled features, ensuring an upsell audit is conducted
Manage Key Promotional Offers: Oversee the strategy to maximize a critical demographic's conversion to the Advanced tier, including the execution of different in-product banners and the status verification process
Implement Retention Initiatives: Improve premium feature education and adoption through tailored onboarding experiences for paid users, and define a "likely to churn" signal for personalized win-back offers and notifications
Expand Global Reach: Support the global expansion of the subscription model, including finalizing expansion into new market waves and addressing product discovery issues in those markets
Leverage User Data for Targeting: Partner with Engineering and Legal/Policy teams to explore and execute on using internal account data to appropriately target users for promotional banners
Enhance Brand Perception: Collaborate with Marketing to promote exciting Pro/Premium roadmaps and Go-To-Market (GTM) moments, including expanding a key industry influencer program
Coordinate Cross-Product Strategy: Work with internal platform teams on core initiatives such as a shared limit infrastructure and potential new product offerings like premium media credits
Qualification
Required
7+ years of Product Management experience delivering highly successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over them
Proven change agent with a history of driving impact. Extensive experience setting and delivering on a strategic plan where you were fully accountable for the outcomes
Strong analytical skills, including familiarity with systems thinking, analytics, and experiment design, and a solid understanding of software development processes and concepts
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with experience managing and influencing stakeholders on a global scale, including executives
Demonstrated customer obsession and a knack for taking on complex product challenges to find elegant solutions that are delightfully simple for users
Preferred
Consumer growth experience and a track record of delivering highly successful and innovative 0-to-1 or scaled freemium products
Entrepreneurial experience building and leading businesses, including ownership and optimization of key business performance metrics (e.g., LTV, ARPU, ARR)
A true founder mindset: biased toward action, a master disambiguator/simplifier, and constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery
Experience running executive-level product and business reviews and shaping the evolution of a company's business model
A high bar across the board: a never-ending desire to grow and learn, applied to your contributions, the people you work with, and the products you work on
Experience defining necessary resourcing and effectively advocating for investments to achieve ambitious product goals
