Responsibilities
Become a trusted business advisor, not just a tax advisor, consulting with clients beyond tax needs
Get away from seasonal relationships and work with clients on a monthly and quarterly basis
Understand what is going on in our clients’ businesses year-round, to offer better strategic advice
Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to each client's unique needs, allowing for effective measurement of financial performance and strategic decision-making
Develop better processes internally and for clients
Manage the tax preparation for pass-through entities, including partnerships
Offer expert state and local tax advice and solutions tailored to the business and individual needs
Craft and execute tax planning strategies to optimize financial outcomes
Consult with clients on how buying & selling impacts their business
Conduct Monthly Financial Oversight (Period End Close) for businesses and meet with the owners to strategize plans
Cultivate client relationships grounded in trust and integrity
Stay abreast of evolving tax laws, regulations, and trends to ensure compliance
Collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver unparalleled client service
Lead the development and mentorship of the team, foster their growth, and build their proficiency in tax matters
Utilize and recommend technology to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver exceptional client service
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 5 years of tax experience in public accounting
A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
CPA or EA licensure
Proficiency in tax laws and regulations, with strategic problem-solving skills
Experience navigating/building client relationships
Engagement management experience
Understanding of tax laws for pass-through entities, and strategic problem-solving
Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide strategic solutions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and colleagues
