Responsibilities

Performs various echocardiography studies on patients under the direction of a Cardiologist, Supervisor and/or Lead Technologist
Gathers and documents appropriate data and reports probable findings to appropriate physicians
Maintains certification/registration with approved credentialing agencies
Conducts and assists with the interpretation of various types of echocardiograms including 2-D, 3-D, m-mode, doppler, transesophageal and stress echo
Prepares and instructs the patient, performs the study to obtain maximum quality results, cleans and maintains proper functioning of equipment, enters patient data in computer systems

EchocardiographyRCS CertificationRDCS CertificationUltrasound TrainingPatient Instruction

Required

Formal training from ultrasound school and cardiovascular
RCS - Reg Cardiac Sonographer or RDCS - Reg Diag Cardiac Sonographer

Preferred

Bachelors Degree
1 Year Experience In Echocardiography
